Skeletime Patent and Technical Operation

Discover the concept, the independent steel plate and the technical advantages of the Skeletime® patent.

Traditional sanding

Conventional backing pads do not adapt to curved surfaces; being made of flexible materials, they do not offer optimal rigidity for leveling on flat surfaces.

Innovative Skeletime® Sanding

The Interface 45 Skeletime® Professional and SemiPro with non-yielding hard backing adapt perfectly to concave, convex and flat surfaces, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Main information

Technical operation of the Skeletime® concept

Skeletime spreads evenly the abrasive on all surfaces of the artefacts to be sanded through a special independent steel plate .

The foil creates an optimal condition for a hard support suitable for any work situation, recreating shapes without waviness and perfect edges .

What does the Skeletime® concept consist of?

There special steel sheet independent Skeletime, is tough but flexible.

On one side it is covered with a hook and loop adhesive to anchor the abrasive and on the other from a dedicated spongy material to be joined to sander backing pad

Working principle of the Skeletime® concept

During processing the flat backing pad of the sanders pushes and compresses the volumes of the spongy material . In reaction, the spongy material pushes uniformly the steel sheet , with constant pressure and shock-absorbing effect . independent, flexible but hard steel sheet, together with the abrasive , will work to perfect smoothness of artifacts of the most different shapes .

Further all-in-one benefits of the Skeletime® concept

The abrasive , combined with the support with steel sheet , find a non-yielding barrier of its own grain to transfer greater abrasion power , but at the same time , pushed by the spongy material onto the working surface evenly at constant pressure with a cushioning effect, transfers greater finishing and smoothness .
