Ultralight backing pad for use with Skeletime® System interfaces with self-adapting and self-leveling steel blade or rubber interface to convert it to traditional use.

The Totem backing pad, combined with Skeletime® System interfaces with a steel blade (Interface Skeletime System) or a rubber interface (Insert Rubber), is designed for customized use based on the weights required by sanders.

It offers high performance thanks to the combined attachment of its hook-and-loop adhesive, and maximum dust extraction thanks to the 53-hole perforation and a plate with 24 internal airboxes to create a suction vortex.

WARNING:

This backing pad should never be used directly with abrasives, but only in combination with Skeletime® System interfaces. Otherwise, it will be too light for the sander and will vibrate, or its hook-and-loop adhesive, which must always remain intact for combined use with Skeletime® System interfaces, risks being damaged.

For sanders with non-standard attachments, such as Festool or Rupes, an Adapter kit is available.

Pad Totem is compatible with electric or pneumatic sanders.

Sander processing for all abrasive grits, with quick replacement of Interface 45 supports.

APPLICATION SECTORS:

Car bodywork, or other sectors with similar needs.

HOW TO USE:

• Combine with the Interface 45 system package.
• Place on the surface and operate the tool (it must not run idle).
• For optimal performance, sanders with a 5mm orbit are recommended, used in a gliding motion following the profile of the surface to be sanded, mixing wide vertical, horizontal, and diagonal movements with medium-light pressure.
• To be used at medium tool speeds with Max 6000 RPM.
• If you wish to further preserve its original hook-and-loop adhesive, apply Interface Saver 1mm.
• If you wish to use it as a common backing pad, for better balance, it is recommended to apply Insert Rubber 5mm.
• If you only wish to perform ultra-finishing on surfaces without undulations, apply Interface Foam 5mm.
• The Skeletime system uses hook-and-loop adhesives of the highest quality and tenacity, and if the product is difficult to detach from the Pad Totem backing pad, especially when new, you must use a spatula with a handle to insert between the hook-and-loop adhesive and the velour, and hold the edges of the backing pad tightly. Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the Pad Totem backing pad.
